Dermal fillers add volume to your lips, whether you want a natural look or something more noticeable.
Dermal fillers can smooth out the appearance of our lips and sometimes show more of our teeth if this is what you want to accomplish.
Results will be achieved instantly.
The Dermal Lip Fillers that we use in our clinic are made from ‘hyaluronic acid’ which is found naturally in our bodies.
Our filler gradually breaks down over a period of time and gets absorbed into our system with no side effects.
On average your Fillers should last between 6-9 months. Some of the product can remain for up to 2yrs.
If you have another treatment before the original filler has completely disappeared you will find you may not need as much filler on that appointment. Also you will see a build up of product that can last longer than the estimated 6-9 months.
Even though Dermal fillers are not POM and the client does not have to speak to a medical professional, it is still important to have a medical consultation to determine that the client will benefit from the procedure.
Your treatment plan will be discussed on your consultation and all options with be considered.
Most clients will have initial swelling which will gradually disappear within 48 hrs.
Bruising can occur but again will disappear as a normal bruise would.
Arnica cream can be used prior and post treatment.
Hyaluronic Acid Dermal fillers are not permanent.
However, if you were not satisfied with your treatment you could have the filler dissolved using Hyalase a POM which will be prescribed to you by our Nurse Prescriber. There will be an additional charge if the treatment has be successful but the client is unhappy with the look.
Often clients will feel the product under the lip but this is very normal.
